Serve as a unit level contact on HR related processes and procedures.
Review and coordinate process of hiring requests from unit management.
Coordinate activities associated with employee on-boarding and orientation. May assist with recruitment efforts and selection process.
Initiate and/or process HR related documentation including hiring packages, posting requests, schedules and reports.
Respond to inquiries regarding Institute and departmental HR policies and procedures; make referrals when appropriate.
Gather and coordinate dissemination of information regarding new or revised HR related policies and procedures within unit.
Review and recommend revision to unit level HR processes as appropriate.
Oversee employee record maintenance and transactions including salary, job, termination and other related changes.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma
Work Experience Six to seven years job related experience
This job requires a working knowledge of institutional human resources policies and procedures as applied at the unit level as well as related regulations.
Interpersonal skills and spoken and written communications skills are required as is use of office and HR specialized computer applications.
Technical Diploma, Associate degree or two years college course work or Bachelor's Degree
Higher Education experience.
