The NSE DOMEX teams receive copies of documentary evidence in hard and soft copy and, occasionally, subpoenaed records. These items are then analyzed for content and relevance as determined by the Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) to assist in the identification of assets and evidence of money laundering. Information that meets a PIR is stored electronically for analysis. Additionally, team members are expected to brief their findings in both informal and formal settings, as well as create reports, link analysis charts, and articulate leads for the investigators.
Specific duties and responsibilities in these areas include:
Providing data entry from coding sheets, reports, or written material into a large scale data processing system.
Entering data into a computer system via a keyboard device, optical character reader, or other input device as appropriate.
Working closely with investigative personnel as technical expert to review and analyze source document(s) for information pertinent to ongoing investigations.
Researching and analyzing data and statistical information to ascertain indicators needed in support of investigative operations.
Reporting findings from the analysis of all investigative material on a daily basis.
Briefing and providing working aids during the implementation of "special taskings."
Writing intelligence reports and creates graphics as required.
Supervising and performing data entry using reports, written material, or special data sheets into a data processing system.
Gather and prepare statistical data.
Resolve problems and questions concerning data to be entered.
Preparing discovery material for the prosecutor.
Requirements: •U.S. Citizen •Active security clearance and the ability to maintain it
•Language skills highly desired (i.e., Dutch, Pashti, Arabic,Farsi) other languages considered. •Minimum H.S. Diploma or GED plus two years work experience in a business environment. An A.S. Degree or higher in a related field will substitute for experience. •Travel up to 10% •Must have valid U.S. Drivers License •Must be able to pass a drug test •Must be able to pass a background check •Must be able to pass the DEA clearance process which can take several weeks •Minimum of one year experience related to the operation of on-line workstations, •Remote Job Entry (RJE) and/or Time Sharing Terminal experience •Experience should include operating a keyboard-controlled device used to transcribe data into a format suitable for computer, minicomputer, or microcomputer processing.
