GVI, Inc., a DoD contractor industry leader, is seeking Engineering Technicians I to support our Naval Undersea Warfare Center customer. Candidates with experience in areas including Towed Handling Systems, Towed Arrays, and Hull Sensor Systems a plus.
Candidates will perform tasks ranging from simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures, to performing non routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
Daily tasking / assignments may include assembling and installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting, performing tests using complex equipment and techniques and recording data and test results.
Candidates may also develop or review designs by extracting and analyzing a variety of engineering data.
Requirements: U.S Citizen;
Active Secret Security Clearance;
High School graduate or GED;
Valid U.S. Drivers License;
Minimum of 0-1 year work related experience in electrical / electronic systems is required.;
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite;
Effective communication skills (verbal and written);
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure;
Position located in Newport, RI. Travel may be required.
Hourly rate of pay: $16.82. Employee will also earn $4.27 per paid hour in Health & Welfare Benefits.
