The incumbent will be teaching introductory anthropology diploma-level and develop curriculum, in the Archaeology sub-field, to compliment within the Faculty with expertise established professor. Academic experience of researching and teaching in the Archaeology subfield is required. The specialization area is open, however, having curriculum development with focused field work will promote research, and/or teaching will be an asset. The successful candidate may adhere to an effective learning environment and respect individual learning styles. The candidate should be dedicated to team working environment and this is extremely interdisciplinary. 

Qualifications:

• PhD in Anthropology, required a subfield Archaeology

• Strong contacts with governmental, academics and community networks

• At least 3 years experience in curriculum development and teaching at post-secondary level

• Convey applied and conceptual aspects of knowledge

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Committed to teaching and learning to working in a team environment

Specific Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the course curricula and the program are relevant and reflecting best practices within the program disciplines

• Creating effective applied learning environment accommodating students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds, learning styles and experiences.

• Evaluate, define and validate the outcomes of learning programs and courses.

• Develop strategies and tools assessing, facilitation student performance, learning, addresses learning multiple styles and reflects best teach practices.

• Develop alternative delivery strategies and multi-media materials.
