Position DescriptionValiant is seeking a Computer Network Technologist II for W-TRS. Potential locations could include: California, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, Korea and potential additional CONUS locations. Essential job duties include but are not limited to: Computer Network Technologist IV (SME) Maintain industry certification in accordance with DOD and DODD for AT Level IIProvide oversight and review of System Admin Associate level work for completeness and correctnessAssist in the development of junior team members through hands on troubleshooting and review of their work. Responsibilities: Perform congenial customer service as needed with clientele, vendors, and peersPerform backup administration procedures. Perform Active Directory tasks; Is knowledgeable of SIEM tools, repositories, and VMwarePerform IAVA trend analysis to better understand and mitigate security vulnerabilities. Prepare detailed reports for the deliverables of the vulnerability assessmentSchedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Research security testing tools, techniques, and processesIntegrate and share information with other analysts and other teams. Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levelsEnsure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutionsOptimize workstation/server system operations and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning. Participate in the development and / or promote standard operating procedures. Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations / servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database / library of all supporting documentation; Establish, document, and participate in the enforcement of system administration policies and procedures. Prepare and present training materials to Soldiers in a classroom environmentPrepare AAR products, to include a Take-Home Packet (THP) to the using units if neededMust be able to work in a field environment with a flexible work schedule on occasion. Position RequirementsMental/Physical requirements for this role include: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as appropriate. Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind and rain) and at height. Willing to work a flexible workweek. Must have or be able to obtain a valid state drivers license and maintain post driving privileges. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.This position may require travel to other installations and other WTRS locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS. Basic Qualifications: 4-year bachelors degree in electronics or related technical field. May consider experience in lieu of formal education (military training, technical school, and/or professional experience). US citizenship is required. Possess an Active Secret US Government Clearance or ability to obtain a clearance.CompTIA Security+ Desired Skills:Previous Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) experience highly desired
