This position is for a Associate Business Systems Analyst in the L2 Application System Support Team. The successful applicant will be involved with an Agile, high performing team doing application support, application deployment, business requirement gathering and data analysis all in support of solutions that conform to Manulife standards. The candidate will need to have a breadth and depth of experience that will allow her/him to devise and support solutions that integrate appropriately within the organization and its application frameworks. Excellent Englishmunication (both written and oral) Applicable degree or Designation inputer Science or equivalent experience Ability to understand business process requirements and, through the use of technology, conceptualize creative solutions through to implementation. Experience in financial industry is desirable. Action oriented, creative and proactive thinker. Awareness of ITIL practices in aligning IT services with the needs of business Willing to work 4:00 pm to 1:00 am HKT and on-call support. Successful candidate must have certain knowledge and experience in some of the below technologies: CA Work Load Automation (or any batch automation tool) MS SQL, MongoDB JavaScript, Typescript Windows / Linux script ServiceNow, Github, Devo, Azure Successful candidate should have some knowledge of the below two technologies: Analyze existing SQL queries and suggest new ones for performance improvements. Cloud based technologies (Azure) - nice to have, not needed. We can train you. On the job you will: Work with upstream and downstream systems to debug or trouble shoot data processing issues. Investigate SQL stored procedures, Informatica Workflows, CA WLA failures and Perl scripts from a support perspective to debug issues or perform analysis for minor enhancements. Tracking and resolving a high number of exceptions on a day-to-day basis as operations support Using Agile methodologies to track work and enhancements in JIRA. Coordinate development efforts with the development team for major enhancements Coordinate code deployments with various teams and ensure audit standards are met. Help shape the future of technology within our group by moving to cloud based solutions.
