Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, project management, and team leadership. The Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a critical leadership role within our organization and requires someone who is able to motivate and manage a team of engineers, while also collaborating with other departments to ensure that projects are aligned with company goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of engineers to ensure that engineering projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the engineering team as needed.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets to ensure that projects are completed within allocated resources.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure that engineering projects are aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching to team members to support their development and growth.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the engineering department.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the engineering team.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on project status and any issues or concerns that arise.

Desired Skill & Expertise:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing complex projects from conception to completion.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Working Conditions

Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
MUST HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering from an ABET Accredited University program is required
Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
12+ years’ experience in specialized discipline.
Experience designing and specifying HVAC and plumbing systems of various sizes and complexities
Professional Engineer License
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and building load simulation programs (IESVE and Carrier HAP preferred)
Understanding and application of building, energy, and mechanical/plumbing codes.
