As part of the finance team, youll support the growth of our Internal Audit and SOX Compliance function by helping with quarterly and annual certification processes. Youll be responsible for leading testing of key systems, adding new tools and platforms into our compliance framework, and finding ways to improve our processes. Youll also contribute to board reporting and take part in a range of projects across the company.

What youll be doing:

  • Report to the Team Lead, IT SOX Compliance, and support the testing and documentation of IT SOX controls, including reviewing related risks and processes.
  • Take ownership of the internal audit system (AuditBoard), ensuring it''s used effectively to support SOX compliance activities.
  • Assess the effectiveness of IT general controls (ITGC), identify any gaps, and work with control owners on remediation plans.
  • Review and test automated controls to confirm they work as intended and properly reduce relevant risks.
  • Collaborate closely with business process owners to support compliance efforts and clearly communicate your findings.

    • What you need to bring:

    We''re looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • Previous experience as an internal or external auditor, with a focus on IT general controls (ITGC).
  • Strong understanding of SOX ITGC requirements.
  • Familiarity with the application of IFRS standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

    Working Conditions

    MUST HAVE:

    Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering from an ABET Accredited University program is required
    Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
    12+ years’ experience in specialized discipline.
    Experience designing and specifying HVAC and plumbing systems of various sizes and complexities
    Professional Engineer License
    Proficient in Microsoft Office
    Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and building load simulation programs (IESVE and Carrier HAP preferred)
    Understanding and application of building, energy, and mechanical/plumbing codes.
