The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst to join our team. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to analyze, define, and document business requirements while ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, technical acumen, and excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering, Documentation Design

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and objectives
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications
• Create user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams
• Develop detailed developer designs that support the product vision and technical requirements

2. Test Planning Execution

• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution with development teams

3. Technology Systems Analysis

• Assess IT systems, applications, and interfaces to identify gaps and areas for improvement
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, architects, and QA teams to implement IT solutions

4. Process Improvement Solution Design

• Analyze and optimize business processes with IT solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Recommend IT solutions that align with business goals and industry best practices

5. Data Analysis Reporting

• Work with databases (SQL, Excel, Power BI, etc.) to extract insights and drive business decisions
• Utilize IT interface engines (Mirth, MuleSoft, etc.) to enhance data exchanges between IT applications
• Develop dashboards and reports to track project progress and performance

6. Stakeholder Communication Collaboration

• Act as a liaison between business executives, IT teams, and external vendors
• Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, requirements-gathering sessions, and design discussions
• Ensure that business and technical requirements are fully captured and implemented

7. Agile, Project Management, Project Support

• Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks to refine backlogs and prioritize features
• Support UAT and ensure system builds meet business and technology requirements

8. Customer Project Management Support

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop project plans with clear timelines, tasks, resources, and dependencies
• Set key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project success

Ideal Profile

Skills Qualifications:

• Experience with IT systems, databases, and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in business analysis tools (JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Smartsheet, MS App Dev, etc.)
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues and adapt to evolving requirements
• Strong business and technical communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders
• Team player mindset fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing
