Riverside School Board is seeking to immediately fill the position of Director of Material Resources as of July 1st, 2025. Interested candidates who meet the qualifications are invited to apply. The selected candidate will work at the offices of the School Board located at 7525 chemin de Chambly, in St. Hubert NATURE OF WORK The Director of Material Resources reports to the Director General and assumes the responsibility for all the programs and activities pertaining to the management of the material resources related to the buildings of the School Board. CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS: The position will include the following responsibilities: Developing and implementing the strategies and objectives of the school board dealing with material resources, namely: Five-year investment plan and building assets database; annual action plan for the operational repair; Optimization of the curative and preventive maintenance; conversion and use of premises. Ensuring that proper management and procedures are followed dealing with building-related tenders in conformity with Riverside policies and the Act respecting contracting by public bodies (LCOP). Ensuring account rendering. Ensuring that all works and modifications are complying with codes, norms and recognize standards. Maintaining a communication and exchange network with various partners including the school's administrator, MEQ officials and municipalities. Identifying needs and priorities for the school board in terms of building assessment in relation with the school organization committee. Managing the Material Resources budget within established financial parameters. Providing leadership and supervision to the Material Resources team. Assuming any other responsibilities compatible with this position as may be assigned to the individual by the Director General. QUALIFICATIONS Minimally an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Architecture or Business Administration with 8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, an asset. Bilingualism, French and English an asset. Excellent leadership skills. Proven ability to work as a team member. Ability to clearly express concepts. Knowledge of the building code would be an asset. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. SALARY AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Salary and working conditions are those outlined in the regulations Respecting the Conditions of Employment of Management Staff of School Boards.
