Position: Accounting Manager - Retail Location: Makati Work Setup: Onsite Schedule: Monday - Friday Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Accounting Manager to lead and oversee our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, Philippine regulations, and extensive experience in managing tax and financial reporting. A CPA designation and a strong background in the retail or similar industry are essential. Key Responsibilities: Lead the accounting department in managing general accounting, taxation, and financial reporting functions. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee compliance with all Philippine regulatory requirements including SEC, BIR, DOLE, BOC, and PEZA. Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Review and implement internal controls to safeguard the company''s financial assets. Coordinate with external auditors and ensure audit requirements are met. Monitor companys financial status and identify areas for improvement. Utilize accounting systems (preferably SAP) and Excel to generate accurate financial reports and analyses. Qualifications: Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Tax, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role Strong understanding of Philippine financial regulations (SEC, BIR, DOLE, BOC, PEZA, etc.) Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (preferably SAP) Experience in the retail industry or a similar sector is a must Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
MUST HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering from an ABET Accredited University program is required
Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
12+ years’ experience in specialized discipline.
Experience designing and specifying HVAC and plumbing systems of various sizes and complexities
Professional Engineer License
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and building load simulation programs (IESVE and Carrier HAP preferred)
Understanding and application of building, energy, and mechanical/plumbing codes.
