Civil Engineer with MEPF Knowledge

Being part of the BV family, is more than just working, its being convinced that youwillleave your mark... in shaping a world of Trust.Job Purpose: To contribute to the successful execution of large-scale construction projects, specifically for the Meridien and Verve developments, by providing expert civil engineering expertise and a strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPF) systems in common areas. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from design and planning to construction oversight and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities: Civil Engineering: Design and Engineering: Develop detailed civil engineering designs, including site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, and infrastructure networks. Review and analyze site surveys, geotechnical reports, and other relevant engineering documents. Prepare construction drawings and specifications. Construction Oversight: Oversee civil construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, project schedules, and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution. Quality Assurance and Control: Implement quality control procedures to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the quality of materials, workmanship, and construction methods. Identify and resolve quality issues promptly and efficiently. Safety and Compliance: Prioritize safety on construction sites, enforcing safety protocols and regulations. Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning ordinances, and other relevant regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Cost Control: Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare and review cost estimates and budget forecasts. Manage change orders and variations to the contract. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical documents, and project status reports. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation. Participate in project meetings and presentations. MEPF Knowledge: Coordination and Integration: Coordinate with MEPF engineers to ensure seamless integration of civil and MEPF systems. Review MEPF designs to identify potential conflicts and coordination issues. Common Area Design: Understand the design requirements for MEPF systems in common areas, such as lobbies, corridors, and public spaces. Review MEPF shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Quality Assurance and Testing: Participate in MEPF system testing and commissioning. Ensure that MEPF systems are installed and operated in accordance with design specifications and industry standards. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. Professional Engineer (PE) license, or eligibility to obtain one. Minimum of [Number] years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of local building codes, standards, and regulations. Proficiency in relevant design software (., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, . Basic understanding of MEPF systems, including: HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) Plumbing systems Electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems) Fire protection systems (sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and smoke control systems) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Additional Considerations: Experience in high-rise building construction and complex infrastructure projects is preferred. Familiarity with Bureau Veritas'' quality management systems and procedures is advantageous. A strong understanding of sustainable design principles and green building practices is desirable.
