We have a great opportunity for a HVAC Design (Mechanical) Engineer, based in the Philippines as part of a workshare team, remotely assisting our UAE office.

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for coordinating and facilitating Quality in their Operating Region, while supporting initiatives of the Quality Manager, as per the Regions Quality Plan.
  • Perform design projects including analysis, evaluation, design reports, calculations, and drawings for projects that will be assigned in accordance with standards and GHD procedures.
  • Apply technical engineering techniques and methods using international design standards such as BSEN, ASHRAE, NFPA, and HVAC design Codes in support not only of Middle East projects but also of Philippines, and international projects within GHD.
  • Present engineering solutions for discussion during concept and schematic design stages, and prepare concept, scheme design, and detailed design reports.
  • Oversee and supervise the projects design and drawing preparation.
  • Conduct internal reviews and quality checks of engineering drawings and design calculations to ensure compliance with the projects requirements.
  • Participate in tender and contract administration.
  • Deliver technically sound and complete design documentation.

    • What you will bring to the team:

  • Minimum 10 years design experience
  • Experience in Middle East projects is preferred
  • Extensive experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems
  • Proven track record in building services design with different types of sectors, including high-rise, commercial, residential, retail, Healthcare, Industrial, refurbishment, etc.
  • Knowledge of heat load calculation, and design software such as HAP, IES etc.
  • Knowledgeable in BIM360 and Revit
  • Detailed knowledge of international design standards, BSEN, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.

    • This job offer can be based either in Makati, Quezon City , or in our office in Cebu , depending on your home base/location.

    Candidates must be a Filipino citizen or have the right to work in the Philippines.

    Working Conditions

    Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.     Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
    MUST HAVE:

    Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering from an ABET Accredited University program is required
    Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
    12+ years’ experience in specialized discipline.
    Experience designing and specifying HVAC and plumbing systems of various sizes and complexities
    Professional Engineer License
    Proficient in Microsoft Office
    Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and building load simulation programs (IESVE and Carrier HAP preferred)
    Understanding and application of building, energy, and mechanical/plumbing codes.
