Who The Client Is: The client is a lively and well-established backpacker hostel based in Perth, Western Australia, known for welcoming guests from all over the world. They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual based in the Philippines to manage the property remotely and help deliver a smooth, seamless, and memorable experience for every guest. Role Overview: We are currently looking for a Remote Hostel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our hostel from afar. This role is perfect for someone who is organised, tech-savvy, and passionate about delivering excellent guest experiences all while managing systems and staff remotely.

As our Remote Hostel Manager, youll be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, managing online bookings, coordinating with on-site staff, and keeping a close eye on occupancy, revenue, and operational costs. Youll also play a key role in maintaining high guest satisfaction and working alongside the owner to continuously improve processes. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily hostel operations remotely Manage all online bookings (Hostelworld, booking.com, Airbnb, etc.) Verify guest payments through connected systems Coordinate with on-site staff for check-ins, check-outs, and housekeeping Communicate with guests before, during, and after their stay Track occupancy rates, income, and operations costs Work closely with the owner to improve processes and boost guest satisfaction Requirements Minimum 5 years of hotel or hostel management experience Proven experience in using the cloudbeds property management system (PMS) Strong communication and organization skills Familiarity with payment platforms such as Stripe, Paypal business, Xero, Square Ability to work independently and manage remote operations effectively Preferred but not required: Experience managing both private rooms and dorm-style accommodations Background in budget travel or hostel operations Familiarity with the Australian hospitality market Experience in remote staff coordination Before applying, please note: This application includes a video assessment provided by the client.
