Auto-Electrician (UG Equipment - Mobile)

OceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified and motivated Auto-Electrician III (UG Equipment - Mobile) to Perform routine maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and servicing of automotive electrical and electronic systems ensuring target availability on all production equipment through work quality, cost-efficient, environmentally, and safe manners.The role will report to the SupervisorMechanical Maintenance (UG Mobile Equipment).

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Encourage everyone to practice safety standards in the workplace and attend safety and toolbox meetings;
• Carries out skilled maintenance and can work independently in the repair of Underground Heavy Mobile Equipment, and other auxiliary equipment;
• Troubleshoot and repair all UG Heavy Mobile Equipment electrical systems. Including but not limited to basic electrical systems, PLC systems, Remote control Systems, and Rig Control Systems;
• Ensures the safe operation of Underground Mobile Equipment by conducting Preventive Maintenance as required and troubleshooting any malfunctions;
• Diagnose and repair starting/charging systems and batteries;
• Diagnoses and undertakes electrical repairs on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment;
• Undertakes electrical installation of accessories of Heavy equipment and other auxiliary equipment;
• Carries out testing equipment and uses computers to map out electrical pathways and locate electronic problems or malfunctions in the system; and
• Must be able to dissemble, as well as correctly reassemble vehicle electrical parts back together.

Educational Background:

• Completion of secondary education and accredited certification.
• A relevant Philippine recognized electrical trade or engineering certificate.

Work Experience and Background:

• Minimum five (5) years of work experience in maintaining the electrical system of heavy mobile equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
• Able to read and write English at an acceptable standard.
• Previous experience with underground Mobile Equipment Electrical systems.
• Is capable of fault finding, maintaining, and adjusting electrical systems and all associated sub-assemblies and components relating to mining and mobile equipment.

Specialization/License:

• Specialization/License: Must hold a current Philippines car Drivers License.
• Automotive Electrical Assembly NC II and NC III.
