We are a leading provider of high-quality heavy equipment in Southern Africa, specializing in excavators, cranes, concrete equipment, wheel loaders, and road machinery. We are seeking a driven Sales Representative to join our team and help grow our presence in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for excavators, cranes, and related machinery.
  • Identify new business opportunities within construction, mining, infrastructure, and road building industries.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Conduct product presentations and on-site demonstrations.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to meet sales targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing to enhance brand presence and generate leads.
  • Provide after-sales support and maintain accurate records.

Desired Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Grade 12 / Matric is a minimum requirement.
    • Tertiary qualification in Sales or Marketing (advantageous).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years? sales experience within the earthmoving, mining, or construction equipment industry, specifically in selling Excavators.
    • Proven track record of sales success with previous experience in selling products such as Excavators, road, piling and concrete machinery.
    • Experience working with both manufacturers and resellers is a plus.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Product Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of earthmoving machinery and related products.
    • Sales & Negotiation: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets, strong negotiation skills, and closing sales.
    • Mathematical & Financial Skills: Solid understanding of pricing, estimates, and basic financial concepts related to sales.
    • CRM & MS Office Proficiency: Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM software packages.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building and communication skills, both in cold calling and general customer liaison.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate customer needs, troubleshoot issues, and offer solutions effectively.
    • Technical Aptitude: Ability to grasp technical concepts and communicate them to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
    • Marketing & Business Development: Proactive marketing capacity and the ability to initiate and develop new business opportunities.
    • Decision-Making: Sound judgment in making quick and effective decisions.
    • Valid South African Driver's License
