Painter/Handyman

The Fitters department requires a committed, hardworking and reliable Painter/Handyman to join their team. The Painter/Handyman will be responsible for the following tasks, amongst others:

• Maintaining building structures and upkeep of the aesthetics thereof
• Measuring, cutting and disassembling or assembling various components
• Various maintenance and new installations on buildings, workshops and office spaces
• Repairing, maintaining and renovating different structures, tools, equipment and appliances throughout the workplace
• Paint work for various projects, office space, workshops, parking bays and demarcation areas
• Prepare and erect timber framed partitions, Prepare and fit wall paneling
• Perform tasks using rough sketches and dimensions
• Repair equipment or appliances where possible
• Perform regular inspections in order to identify areas requiring attention
• Adherence to Health and Safety regulations
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of workshop safety
• Assisting the Fitters department with various adhoc duties
• Assisting various maintenance teams and Artisans with adhoc tasks as and when required

Qualifying Criteria:

• Grade 12
• Valid Code 8 driver?s license
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety rules
• Ability to handle tools i.e. cutting machines
• Previous experience in the same or similar role advantageous
• Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations
