The main role is to be the primary mechanic for the Flexihire Moranbahbranch. Ensuring the prompt service, repair and maintenance of all equipment, run and oversee the mechanical operations of the entire modern workshop.It''s not just mechanical work, rather taking ownership of the workshop, liaising with other staff, customers andensuring equipment is well presented and reliable.

  • Forklift licence will help but not mandatory
  • Current drivers licence. MR Truck licence highly desirable

Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pre-paint preparatory tasks, including, but not limited to, aircraft docking, sanding/ abrading, washing, masking, etc.;
  • Read and interpret SDS and Technical Data Sheets to safely mix paints in accordance with specifications;
  • Commercial aircraft painting (Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer, etc.) using HVLP and electro-static spray equipment and brushes;
  • Read and interpret engineering paint drawings, technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes;
  • Location and use/ application of aircraft technical markings, decals, spray masks, stencils, etc. as required to facilitate the painting process;
  • Aircraft coatings finishing, including polishing, buffing, etc.;
  • Hangar duties and equipment maintenance as may be required from time to time; and
  • Compliance with safety rules and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
