| <p><strong>Supply Chain Materials Manager </strong></p> <p>Blacksburg, VA</p> <p>Our manufacturing client is actively seeking a <strong>Supply Chain Materials Manager</strong> in their <strong>Blacksburg, VA</strong> location. This Manager will oversee all phases of production scheduling, inventory control, purchasing of raw materials and production. This person will report to the Plant Manager.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Purchase all raw materials.</li> <li>Negotiate and set up new vendors and purchasing contracts when necessary.</li> <li>Complete quotes and find sources for improved products, lower cost and faster delivery.</li> <li>Manage the warehouse function including receiving of raw materials, shipping of finished goods, and organizing of both in the warehouse area.</li> <li>Communicate with customers on complaints, problems and concerns. Refer to customer complaints relating to quality or production to appropriate management.</li> <li>Maintain inventory of raw materials and finished goods. Utilize an SAP system and generate inventory reports.</li> <li>Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse area, maintain a safe work environment and safe work practices, accident investigations and ensuring outside contractors adhere to policies and procedures.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Job Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Bachelor’s Degree required.</strong></li> <li><strong>5+ years in a manufacturing environment. </strong></li> <li><strong>Strong supply chain skills working in a fast-paced, large automated plant environment.</strong></li> <li><strong>Automotive background will not be considered!!!!!</strong></li> <li><strong>Strong managerial and supply chain skills. </strong></li> <li><strong>Must be comfortable working in a very fast-paced, busy large automated facility. </strong></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Materials Manager, supply chain, shipping, receiving, manufacturing, management</p> |
