<p>CARES has an immediate need for part-time Home and Community Support Staff to provide one-on-one support in the Tamaqua area.</p> <p>The CARES Home and Community Program is a unique community-based program where individuals focus on volunteering and recreational activities while maximizing life skills, pre-vocational skills and social skills. Our goal is to ensure that individuals are not just in the community, but are known as a valuable part of their community.</p> <p>As a Home and Community Support Staff you will plan and provide job development, pre-vocational training, life skills, and social/recreation opportunities to the adults in the program.</p> <p>&middot; Supervise and ensure safety of the individual with disabilities within a community setting</p> <p>&middot; Actively participate in the implementation of individuals ISP goals</p> <p>&middot; Document goals, activities, and daily outcomes</p> <p>&middot; Participate in planning of life skills opportunities, recreation/social activities and pre-vocational training</p> <p>&middot; Be aware of and follow agency policies/procedures and government regulations for the program</p> <p>&middot; Assist in development and implementation of behavioral plans as needed</p> <p>&middot; Follow schedules as prepared by the Program Specialist</p> <p>&middot; Maintain safe, neat and clean vehicle</p> <p>&middot; Operate motor vehicles in a safe manner at all times according to applicable state laws</p> <p>Qualified candidates will have:</p> <p>&middot; High School Diploma</p> <p>&middot; Current First Aid &amp; CPR certification or ability to obtain certification</p> <p>&middot; Valid driver&rsquo;s license</p> <p>All candidates must be able to secure PA criminal, FBI and child abuse clearances.</p> <p>CARES is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
