About the role

We are pleased to announce an opening for the role of SHES Advisor Health . This role is crucial in supporting our mission to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our workforce. As a SHES Advisor Health, you will provide expert guidance on key areas such as Occupational Health, Medicals, Workers Compensation, and Occupational Hygiene. Your contributions will be vital in executing Oricas SHES Health & Hygiene Plan, ensuring that our employees return home safely and healthy every day.

What you will be doing

Medicals Review & Compliance:

  • Review medicals conducted by health service providers, ensuring alignment with published guidelines and legislative requirements.
  • Develop and monitor progress against health management plans.
  • Provide professional advice on occupational health and medical matters.
  • Health Situations & Standards Management:

  • Support and advise on arrangements and mechanisms for early identification, planning, management, and response to health-related situations, escalations, and changes in standards.
  • Conduct periodic regional health analysis, statistics, and reporting.
  • Perform deep dives into occupational health and medical-related topics.
  • Training & Documentation:

  • Source, develop, and participate in health-related training and coaching activities.
  • Conduct accurate data entry, reporting, and maintenance of health documentation within Orica''s systems (e.g., My Occ Health Record, Enablon).
  • Coordinate scheduling and booking of medicals and health-related appointments.
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and confidential health reporting, executing data integrity and governance activities.
  • Support Functions:

  • Assist payroll and Injury Management Specialists with workers compensation payroll systems management.
  • Collate information for Return to Work and Health Management Programs.
  • Coordinate fitness-for-work and independent medical assessments as directed by the Health team.
  • Support Return to Work documentation and data retention requirements.
  • Data Management & Reporting:

  • Manage data entry, reporting, and Occupational Hygiene exposure data within relevant systems (e.g., Enablon, My Occ Health Record).
  • Support the development of site health hazard identification documentation, health risk assessments, and training materials.
  • Review, consolidate, and publish Occ Health & Hygiene management system documentation to meet jurisdictional and Group SHES requirements.
  • Assist in Health & Hygiene initiatives to achieve program deliverables.
  • What you will bring

  • Postgraduate degree in a health-related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in providing health services in a similar occupational environment.
  • Proven experience in a health-related profession (e.g., Physiotherapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Paramedical Science, or Exercise Physiology).
  • Previous experience in Occupational Health & Hygiene data management.

    Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening

    Experience designing and specifying HVAC and plumbing systems of various sizes and complexities
    Professional Engineer License
    Proficient in Microsoft Office
    Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and building load simulation programs (IESVE and Carrier HAP preferred)
