| Position Summary : Our client is seeking a top-notch QA Engineer. This position will be part of the Compass team, a cross-functional, international group working on Organisations new SMART Application, Compass. Key Responsibilities : - Ability to program in at least one object oriented programming language, preferably Java. - Work in Agile environment, develop new tools and Maintain/re-engineer existing automation scripts - Build and deliver meaningful testing, provide analytical assessments on usability, Solate blockers and enable operational capabilities - Interpret business requirements and high level designs to create detailed test cases and build test environments accordingly - Actively engage and collaborate with the development team and product roadmap to align and deliver tests for each new release. - Familiarity with test-driven development methodology, preparing tests hand in hand with soft Desired Profile of the Candidate : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science/ IT or equivalent experience with 4 to 6 years of experience in manual and automation testing - Experience in test automation tools and debugging Java enterprise applications that use relational DB structures and App servers like Tomcat - Experience with Groovy scripting, Selenium automation and Jenkins; scripting in languages like Powershell, Java; Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems - Experienced with tools such as Team City, SVN, Junit frameworks - Strong follow-through and initiative to stay with issues until they are resolved, along with discipline and tenacity to meet deadlines - Creative and effective in oral and written communication, ability to communicate with all stakeholders in distributed teams - Ability to work in a fast paced, test-driven, collaborative and agile environment - Experienced with software development processes, and in particular, manual/automated test design and functional/integration testing - Certification as Java Programmer is a plus.
