We are looking for a VP of Engineering to be part of founding team and build the most successful gaming technology platform, played by millions. Role : - Lead all Technology Architecture & Development. Get Your Hands Dirty (CODE). Resolve scaling issues before they happen - Architect, code and even hack solutions to extreme software engineering problems, faced by real time technology application and passionately automate all Engineering work - Be the primary interface between all divisions of the company and Engineering. Lead and grow the Engineering team into an effective and passionate part of The Khel Group Responsibilities : - Lead, develop and scale up engineering capability, keep up with the high growth of Industry to deliver world class new games - Own all initiatives to develop and scale technology, execute an aggressive roadmap, institute best engineering practices and deliver innovative products - Lead the team and create real time multiplayer games on Web/iOS/Android/Windows devices - Would be responsible for front end and back end development, server side engineering, UI and all other technological aspects of multi-player game development - Maintain efficient technical systems that enable the company to run highly efficient operations -Lead and expand the existing engineering team; identify new talent; manage, mentor & retain all members of the team - Work closely with product team and the leadership team for new product development - Will be involved in conceptualizing and building the product from scratch - Help set the technical direction for the team, drive the evolution of the system architecture, and make appropriate technology choices - Set and manage expectations, communicate and execute goals within timelines Experience, Technical skills & Knowledge : - 8 years of experience in Gaming, real time banking, e-Commerce or consumer facing software product companies - Strong development experience in Java Stack along with MySQL - PHP, Node.js knowledge will be preferred (MEAN Stack) - Strong analytical skills with previous experience in complex data sets - Experience in high volume Mobile applications, data mining and multi-tiered transactional systems - Solid Troubleshooting Skills - Experience with animated/static UI using MVP pattern, Game Logic, 3rd party SDK integration - Knowledge of cross platform game development tool like Unity is preferable Managerial competencies : - Strategic orientation like ability to align to company vision and long-term goals and execute strategy - Should have ability to manage a bunch of talented engineers and guide them to deliver - Should have the zeal to learn and Make others learn - Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and technical innovation - Ability to gel and work with talents from different generation Perks and Benefits : - Flexible and awesome work culture - Freedom to voice your opinion and influence product direction - Collective Leadership and Ownership - Work with the most amazing people on earth - IITians and MBAs from Ivy league schools - Refreshments, Snacks, Quizzing, - and fun unlimited (ref:hirist.com) |
