| JD for : .NET Umbraco Developer (with Microsoft Azure Experience) Job Location : Mumbai Immediate Joiners required Our client is looking for experienced .NET Developers with advanced knowledge in Umbraco and Microsoft Azure services to join their ever-expanding function in Mumbai. The role is to act as a dedicated resource and support function for a digital team based in Birmingham (UK). The team are part of the client function that operates within the same group of companies as the client. You will work on a range of .NET clients, including JCB and Crown Paints but will predominately be required to work on National Express initially, who provide coach, bus and transportation services in the UK. - The role requires the developer to provide support for website and service outages and will receive instruction from a service desk based in the UK. You will be expected to work on a range of bugs, issues and fixes that are prioritized in severity order and managed via Jira. The role also requires out of hours on-call support cover (UK out of hours) to stand-up the services or website if there is a Priority 1 outage that renders the services unusable. Role Requirements : Below is a list of skills and requirements that are require for the role : - Responsibilities include the maintenance, both proactive and reactive, of custom business web applications/controls. - Advanced analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills along with strong related technical skills, and a history of successfully operating as part of a team that organizes, plans, and executes large-scale projects or assignments from vision to implementation. - Able to work independently and solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to work on cross-functional project teams and maintain team commitment to tasks. - Broad conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies in server / client applications, Web Technologies, PC computing environments desirable; in-depth experience in one or more is critical. - Can-do positive attitude. - Excellent communication skills, confident working with less-technically minded people. - Ability to explain and communicate complex resolutions into simple format both in verbal and written form. - To assist in the management of the various environments. - Ensuring code is properly tested and functioning correctly before presentations to the internal team and helping to ensure bugs are fixed in within the contracted Service Levels (SLA- s). Skills / Expertise : - 5 years or more experience, with a significant percentage at an agency or similar environment. - Experience working within an agile environment our clients operate on continual improvement programmes and have regular fortnightly releases. - Experience using an industry standard development process (TDD / BDD). - Advanced experience of Git and methodologies (git flow in particular) including CLI usage. - Advanced experience of C#. - Experience of MVC principles including API development, repository patterns similar patterns. - Advanced server and infrastructure experience for tools such MSSQL IIS. - Advanced experience of Microsoft Azure. Specific experience of App Services : - Cosmos DB (preferably with MongoDB) - Virtual Networking - Azure API Management - Azure Active Directory B2C is essential - Advanced experience with tools like linq. - Advanced experience of Umbraco CMS. - Experience of using and creating RESTful architecture and external APIs. - Experience of developing micro services architectures, with RESTFul WebAPIs using DotNet Core 1.1 and 2.0. - Advanced experience of setting up, creating and using build tooling in a CI / CD workflow. - Experience with system orchestration administration tools (puppet / chef). - Knowledge of technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
