Our client a fast-growing specialist retail company that caters to the premium pet market offering pet lovers a range of food and accessories for their beloved companions. The Company is the leading pet care retailer in the country with over 170 stores nationwide and aims to be one of the most respected specialist retailers in the country. The Company has a best-in-class omnichannel offering and is looking to significantly grow ecommerce revenue over the next five years.�

Overview of the Role

The Ecommerce Operations Manager ("OM") will have overall responsibility for the operations of ecommerce offering and will report to the National Operations Manager. The successful candidate will manage a team of 8 and work closely with the marketing, tech, buying and planning teams to ensure that the Ecommerce function achieves its goals. The OM will also be required to contribute to the Company's Ecommerce strategy and implement key strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate must have at least three years' experience in ecommerce and a demonstrable track record of managing an efficient operation. They must be a strong leader with extensive management experience, strong problem solving and organizational skills and be able to manage a fast-growing unit

Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for the operations of ecommerce offering.
Overall maintenance of the website which includes the management of stock outs and discontinued products; price changes, promotional setups; loading new products and presentation and categorization of all products on the website.
Overall management and development of the Ecommerce
Set key performance indicators ("KPl's") and individual development plans for the ecommerce team and manage the team to ensure KPl's are met.
Achieve a delivery rate greater than 85% within 24- 48 hours, and greater than 95% within in 72 hours.�
Ensure revenue budgets and key performance metrics are met.�
Implement initiatives to gain new customers, win back "lost" customers and retain "at risk" customers.
Oversee all customer enquiries and complaints and ensure they are all are addressed appropriately.
Implement initiatives to ensure best-in-class customer service.
Liaise with planning team to ensure broad range of products is available on the website and new products are added in a timely manner
Ensure stock availability on the website is at optimal levels.
Ensure appropriate stock management and control.
Ensure the website, mobisite and app are functioning appropriately and liaising with the tech team to ensure bugs are fixed and improvements made.
Working with the marketing team to ensure appropriate descriptions, images, product reviews and valued added and engaging
Ensure imagery is updated to keep the website "fresh"
Assist in the development and implementation of the online strategy.
Ensure appropriate processes in place to allocate orders between drivers and external couriers to ensure lowest cost within delivery KPI's.
Manage drivers to ensure deliveries done on time and manage route and logistics costs.
Negotiate courier rates with external parties.
Manage vehicle fleet to ensure vehicle maintenance and licensing carried out at required intervals.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports to show key performance
Ensure all financial processes are executed accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications, personal traits and experience

Attainments/Educational Level/Qualifications

University Degree preferable
Experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify and Magenta are advantageous
Basic understanding of coding will be advantageous.
Strong proficiency in Excel

Experience

3 to 5 years' ecommerce
5 plus years management experience.

WHAT IT TAKES
To be Successful in this Role You Will Need:

• Students must have completed CMPT 1105, CMPT 1109 or CMPT 1209 by the end of the semester in which they are applying to work and received or expect to receive a B+ grade or higher.
• Must have a basic working knowledge of C++, MS Visual Studio, Windows, and Internet Explorer. Knowledge of Python is an asset.

Student Assistant, Computer Lab (Computer Science) assists students with learning software in their courses by providing peer tutoring, including helping to troubleshoot programs during scheduled labs. This software includes Visual Studio, C++, Python, as well as file management in Windows and Internet Explorer.

Responsibilities:

• Assist instructors and new students in the computer labs, at the New Westminster campus.

Domestic students must meet ONE of the following criteria, to be eligible to work as a Student Assistant/Student Research Assistant:

• The domestic student must be enrolled in, and maintain, a minimum of one or more (3 credit) courses at Douglas College throughout the work term; OR
• The domestic student must have been enrolled in, and maintained, a minimum of one or more (3 credit) courses at Douglas College in the term immediately preceding the work term and has indicated an intention to enroll at the college in the term immediately following the work term; OR
• The domestic student must be enrolled in, and maintain a minimum of two or more (3 credit) courses at another accredited public post-secondary institution in B.C. throughout the work term

International students must meet ONE of the following criteria, to be eligible to work as a Student Assistant/Student Research Assistant:

1. The international student must be enrolled in, and maintain a minimum of 9 credits at Douglas College, throughout the Summer term; OR

2. The international student must be enrolled in, and maintain a minimum of 3 credits in the Summer term, AND must have been enrolled in at least 9 credits for each of the preceding Fall and Winter terms; OR

3. The international student, if he/she is a new student to Douglas College as of the Winter term, must have been enrolled in full-time studies (a minimum of 9 credits for the Winter term) AND must be enrolled in, and maintain a minimum of 3 credits in the Summer term; OR

4. An international student, who is not a Douglas College student, but is an international student at another accredited public post-secondary institution in B.C., is eligible to work at Douglas College only if he/she has a valid Study Permit.

With the notation - "May accept employment on or off campus if meeting eligibility criteria as per R186 (F), (V) or (W). Must cease working if no longer meeting these criteria." Proof of enrollment in full-time studies from the other post-secondary institution is required.

An original copy of a Social Insurance Number ( SIN ) and an original Study Permit are required by law before commencing work at Douglas College.

Reporting to the North America Regional Director Environment, the Regional Manager, Environmental Sciences is responsible for advancing our technical understanding of environmental challenges/opportunities and developing strategic plans that minimize risk across our assets while meeting compliance requirements, commitments with Indigenous Government Organizations, and performance targets.

The successful candidate will provide outstanding leadership, scientific knowledge and practical experience in environmental areas pertinent to mining. The Regional Manager, Environmental Sciences must be self-motivated, collaborate well across diverse teams, have strong organizational skills, and robust technical understanding of environmental disciplines. This role is crucial for advancing our environmental performance and sustainable mining practices.

Supports required training and capacity building with Operations as required to effectively apply relevant guidelines, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an environmental-related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Professional designation (e.g., R.P.Bio.) preferred
10+ years of experience providing leadership in environmental sciences, compliance, and risk management in mining or other natural resource industry
Well versed in provincial and federal legislation and regulatory requirements applicable to mining activities
Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communications and presentation skills in both formal and informal settings with the ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials, Indigenous groups, and communities of interest
Technical understanding of environmental sciences, risk evaluation, and compliance practices related to water quality/quantity, toxicology, fisheries, air quality, waste management, ecological or human health risk assessments, biodiversity, etc.
Demonstrated ability to work well with and build relationships with people at all levels of the organization to influence outcomes and manage conflict
Strong leadership and management skills including ability to manage a technically-diverse staff and consultants to effectively leverage skillsets and provide additional support where necessary
Motivated self-starter who can manage several projects simultaneously and adapt to changing situations
Ability to travel approximately 30% on average annually
High degree of critical thinking and analytical skills with strong technical writing skills and understanding of environmental disciplines
Deliver with a "fit-for-purpose" approach focusing on the key levers or inputs that have a material impact on positive outcomes and results
