About the Company

Our client is a well-established Pretoria-based property development company specializing in rural retail developments. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint a skilled Senior Bookkeeper / Senior Accountant to support their Filling Station Group operations with robust financial management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant, your main duties will include:

• Preparing the books of account up to Trial Balance.

• Managing monthly reporting and annual budgets, including financial forecasting and data analysis.

• Full VAT reporting and compliance.

• Overseeing payroll for the group?s filling stations.

• Compiling annual audit files and liaising with external auditors.

• Producing monthly and annual financial reports in line with accounting standards.

• Ensuring accurate record-keeping and supporting financial controls.

• Ensuring efficient use of accounting systems ? experience with Pastel and WinBranch is highly advantageous.

• Demonstrating excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (advantageous).

• 5+ years of experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role.

• Proficient in accounting systems (Pastel / WinBranch experience preferred).

• Demonstrable experience in monthly reporting, payroll, and VAT.

• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple entities or branches.

• Must be able to work on-site full-time at the company?s Irene-based head office.
