STOREMAN ? STRAIGHT SHIFT:

The Company is looking for energetic individuals who can manage the daily output required at Stores for the Purchasing Department.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Ensure the smooth running of the stores on a daily basis.
  • Attend to ad hoc pop-up projects.
  • Ensure that all requisitions are processed by end of shift/ assist storeman on shift.
  • Ensure that all queries are dealt with on a daily basis.
  • Follow up with maintenance loan items to ensure requisitions are complete.
  • Assist Borbet staff with identification of stock items codes and amend the description accordingly to help make the stores easier for all storemen.
  • Receive and check if raw materials are placed in their allocated locations.
  • Supply and issue raw materials with requisitions to different departments.
  • Capture issues and receipts on fourth shift, scan paperwork in and then send up to Finance.
  • Daily cycle counts verification (conducted every night shift)
  • Forklift driver license is essential in order to carry out stores? movements of all large items or raw materials.
  • FIFO issuing in terms of Raw materials and items that have an expiration date on them.
  • Rotation of items in stores that require FIFO issues.
  • Material safety data sheets filed and controlled.
  • Month end stock take of all stores.
  • Assist with offloading if receiving inspector is occupied
  • Movement of stores items and raw materials internally to create a smoother working environment.
  • Weekly picks to be counted and updated on stores catalogue (Weekends)
  • Daily management of raw materials and fast-moving consumer goods to be sent to Purchasing Manager and buyer.
  • AD Hoc stores duties that may arise
  • May be required to work overtime when requested
  • Placing items in the correct storage location to avoid any accidents, movement and labelling of stock items and stock locations.
  • Track expiry dates of paint and chemicals-ensure the buyer is made aware to request re-certification.
  • Inspect all PPE issues and collect old for new when issuing, if goods are still in perfect working condition communicate with supervisor of department on shift.
  • Ensure a good housekeeping and location of goods in the stores
  • Pallets and interlayers to be neat and kept in an orderly manner for quick identification
  • Ensure all items are labelled correctly and in their correct place
  • Advise stores controller of stock level shortages and expired stock
  • All items are issued against correct documentation
  • All materials are safely stacked, packed and stored to ensure no injury to any staff member.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12 including mathematics and science as subjects
  • N subjects or Tertiary education will be added advantage
  • Valid Forklift License is essential

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years work experience in a stores environment is essential

  • Excellent attendance record and Impeccable disciplinary record
  • Good motivation skills
  • Computer literacy (essential)
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong Problem Solving Skills
