Senior Civil Engineer - Underground

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer Underground with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in the design and engineering of underground utilities and drainage systems within the Oil & Gas or Infrastructure sector.

Preferred candidate profile

• Lead and manage a team of 57 civil engineers/designers on underground civil projects.
  
• Perform hydraulic design and costing of stormwater drains (open channel and closed pipe flow), paving, roads, gravity and pressure pipelines.
  
• Design stormwater drainage and underground networks including AOC, COC & OWS in line with client specifications.
  
• Prepare and review layouts for drainage, road, trench, paving, and composite underground utilities.
  
• Prepare and verify MTOs, BOQs, and support cost estimation.
  
• Interpret piping and civil GA drawings, topographic surveys, and underground scanning reports.
  
• Coordinate 3D modeling and 2D drafting with designers and other disciplines.
  
• Support technical/design reviews, quality audits, and provide guidance on code compliance.
  
• Ensure control over project man-hours and track material and cost estimates.
  
• Address and resolve site queries and interdisciplinary clashes.
