Jewellery Designer Cum Merchandiser

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Create original and trend-forward jewellery designs, including sketches, CADs, and prototypes.
• Designing (manual sketching) as per customers given design concept, given gold weight or diamond weight requirement
• Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are manufacturable within quality and budget specifications.
• Drafting manual design with proper diamond calculations and metal weight details and product dimensions.
• Research and incorporate current jewellery trends, materials, and gemstones into new collections.
• Analyze market trends and customer preferences to influence design direction and collections.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and manage the flow of inventory.
• Set pricing strategies for designs based on cost analysis and competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure designs are promoted effectively and meet sales targets .

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in CAD software
• Strong knowledge of materials, gemstones, and jewellery-making techniques.
• Ability to work creatively while considering production constraints and market needs.
• Good understanding of merchandising, pricing, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Any other works assigned by the Superiors from time to time.
