Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices to help drive our cloud strategy and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives and support the development of cloud-native applications.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to deliver robust cloud solutions.
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, documentation, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud services and tools based on project and business needs.
  • Implement automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, governance policies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot issues to ensure high

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or software development.
  • 8+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud architectures.
  • Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with DevOps tools (CI/CD, monitoring, containers Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and identity management in the cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Cloud certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Architect).

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering from an ABET Accredited University program is required
Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
12+ years’ experience in specialized discipline.
Experience designing and specifying HVAC and plumbing systems of various sizes and complexities
Professional Engineer License
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and building load simulation programs (IESVE and Carrier HAP preferred)
Understanding and application of building, energy, and mechanical/plumbing codes.
