Virtual Medical Assistant

This is a remote position.

• Contract type: Independent Contractor
  
• Schedule:40 hours/week, Monday to Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a 30-minute paid break and additional breaks during the shift.
  

Client Timezone: US Eastern Time (EST)

• Serve as primary virtual point of contact for patient communications
  
• Manage incoming patient calls with professional and caring demeanor
  
• Handle comprehensive patient scheduling and appointment management
  
• Process patient information through Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  
• Support general administrative needs of the practice
  
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions
  

Requirements

• Healthcare background or related degree strongly preferred
  
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems required
  
• Advanced MD experience highly desired
  
• Proven track record working remotely with US medical practices
  
• Excellence in patient communication and customer service
  
• Strong understanding of medical terminology
  
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality
  
• HIPAA compliance knowledge required
  
• Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment
  
• Available during US Eastern Time business hours
  
• Minimum 2 years of medical office experience preferred
