Job Title: Financial Controller (Plant) ? Durban A leading company in the automotive manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced and energetic Financial Controller to join their dynamic team in Durban. The incumbent will be taking over from a retiring Financial Controller, who will be available for a handover. This is a fast-paced environment with numerous deadlines, so we are seeking someone who thrives under pressure and takes initiative. Strong leadership skills are essential, as this role involves leading a team.

Reporting to: Plant Manager Job Purpose: To compile and provide accurate and timeous financial information to Plant Management in order to support informed business decision-making.   Educational Requirements: Grade 12 National Diploma or BCom in Financial Accounting or related qualification BCom Accounting, CA(SA), or CIMA will be advantageous Minimum 5 years? experience in a similar role Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Analysis: Provide financial analysis and support across all operational areas Monitor and support debtors and creditors Maintain fixed asset register and intercompany balances Review payroll, financial variances (budget/forecast), and balance sheet variances Ensure compliance with IFRS Maintain CAPEX & Tooling Reports Generate reports for internal/external use Internal Control: Comply with and maintain internal controls Maintain and review the Risk Register Budgeting & Forecasting: Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes Prepare plant budgets, P/L and balance sheet forecasts Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly BU/Plant Financial Pack Compile BU/Plant Flash Results and variance analysis Weekly Sales Reporting: Compile and review weekly sales reports General Ledger: Prepare provisions, accruals, royalties schedules, and journals Compile general ledger reconciliations CAPEX & Tooling: Maintain CAPEX and tooling registers Prepare CAPEX requisitions Conduct asset life and value analysis Maintain tooling reports Audits: Plan and prepare for year-end external/internal audits Prepare for royalty audits Costing: Calculate landed costs Review DA 190, investigate PPVs, and generate variance reports Stock Control: Compile daily stock reports, oversee stock takes, and investigate variances Cash Management: Monitor and manage plant cash flow Oversee daily cash positions and FEC contracts People Management: Lead and manage team performance Identify and provide training needs Maintain discipline and resolve grievances SHE Compliance: Identify and address safety hazards Promote a safe working environment   Please note due to high volume responses, only candidates that meet the advertised criteria will be contacted. ..
