Our Client, a leading brand in the Total Workspace Solutions space, is looking to employ an experienced Financial Manager to their team, based in Port Elizabeth. This is a senior management position. Requirements: A degree in either Tax, Accounting, or Finance. Minimum of 5 years? experience in a senior financial role. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sage X3. Strong technical accounting knowledge. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Proven ability in financial analysis and forecasting. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks. High attention to detail and initiative. Self-motivated, proactive, and innovative. Strong problem-solving, change management, and influencing skills. Professional demeanor and strong team leadership abilities. Responsibilities: Financial Management: Manage cash flow effectively. Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable. Handle full contract management processes. Develop and manage forecasts and budgets. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Oversee full tax compliance and submissions. Manage audit preparation and requirements. Strategic Planning: Support the formulation of the company?s strategic direction. Monitor and guide implementation of business plans. Develop financial and tax strategies. Manage capital requests and the budgeting process. Establish performance measures aligned with strategic goals. Operations: Participate in key executive decisions. Maintain strong relationships across the management team. Oversee and manage the accounting department. Ensure compliance with IFRS standards. Ensure accurate inventory and costing values. Implement and monitor effective internal financial controls. Staff Management: Lead and develop finance staff. Ensure optimal performance of the finance team. Financial Administration and Reporting: Oversee issuance of all financial information. Compile, review, and approve monthly management accounts and board reports. Report financial results to the Board of Directors. Monitor cash management and analyze profitability. Review and approve journal entries. Audit and Budgeting: Ensure timely completion of external audits. Complete and review audit packs. Plan and manage annual budgets and 3-year forecasts. Consolidate and review departmental budgets for submission. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. Maintain effective control systems and legal compliance. Ensure proper record keeping and reporting of risk issues. Conduct quarterly financial control self-assessments. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Ensure proper approval processes and vendor payments. Maintain customer collections within agreed credit terms. Fixed Assets: Manage asset additions and disposals. Maintain depreciation records. Taxation: Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns. Complete tax calculations and liaise with group finance. B-BBEE and EE Compliance: Support the development and implementation of the Employment Equity plan.
