Job Description:

The Candidate Should Have a Strong Knowledge in EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) Machine Operation. In this role, Candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of various EDM machines to produce high-quality components for production, prototype, and experimental applications. You will ensure that all machining tasks are performed in compliance with quality standards, while maintaining a high level of efficiency and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate various types of EDM machines, including programming the EDM machine for specific production requirements.
• Mount, align, and secure work holders, tools, and attachments to the machine.
• Manufacture production, prototype, and experimental components in accordance with detailed written work instructions.
• Maintain AS9100/ISO quality control standards by measuring dimensions of machined parts using tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, and other precise measuring equipment.
• Identify non-conforming materials and immediately notify the Manager for corrective action.
• Adjust offsets to maintain process capability and optimize production efficiency.
• Read and interpret G-code and M-code for CNC programming to ensure proper machine function.
• Set up and align tools, limits, variables, and load monitors for optimal machine performance.
• Produce first-off parts and submit them for inspection to verify adherence to specifications.
• Ensure necessary gages and documentation are available in the work area for accurate measurements.
• Conduct in-process and final checks of parts using gauges and measuring equipment to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Complete machining tasks within specified run times to meet production schedules.
• Perform minor preventive maintenance on EDM machines as per maintenance schedules.
• Follow all procedures and setup sheets to maintain consistency and quality in machine operations.
• Support root cause investigations, analysis, and the implementation of corrective/preventative actions when required.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma in Tool & Die Making / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  
• Experience in operating EDM machines (Wirecut EDM is Preferable ).
  
• Strong knowledge of tool room practices, machine programming, and maintenance.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
