DENTAL THERAPIST | PIETERMARITZBURG, KZN

A Dental Practice in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a skilled, HPCSA-Registered Dental Therapist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about preventative care, restorative treatment, and promoting good oral hygiene within the community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide preventive and restorative dental care, including fillings and simple extractions
• Identify and treat common dental conditions such as dental caries and periodontal disease
• Perform dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, and fissure sealants
• Educate patients on oral hygiene routines, dietary advice, and follow-up care
• Assist with school or community-based oral health programs when needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Work collaboratively with Dentists and other dental professionals in the practice
• Ensure excellent patient care and satisfaction through friendly, professional service

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Oral Health (BOH) or equivalent qualification
• Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Dental Therapist
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail with a patient-focused approach
• Ability to work well in a collaborative and team-oriented environment
• Organised, self-motivated, and committed to high-quality care

Remuneration: Starting at R15 000, going up to R40 000, depending on experience
