Job Description:
The Opportunity:
As an embedded software test Engineer, you will need to fulfill the current and future requirements
of Hitachi Energy High Voltage DC (HVDC) transmission, Hitachi Energy has developed a fully
computerized control and protection system using state-of-the-art computers, micro-controllers
and Digital Signal Processors connected by high performance industrial standard buses and fiber
optic communication links.
How you will make an impact:
  • Ability to execute, review & support in creating Test Environment with the components of MACH Control System in the Test Lab Facility, with Computers, Servers.
  • Able to create Test Environment with Input - Output Boards and Simulation Environments.
  • You will contribute to writing Test cases/Scenarios for verifying functionalities of the Control system for Analog and Digital Acquisition systems.
  • Execution of Test Cases, for various software and hardware releases using the developed test cases in the test lab.
  • You will be responsible for reporting the test execution details to development Team for further action.
  • Maintain the test environment with updated software and hardware for current and future use.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:
  • Required B.E (EEE/ECE) with 5+ years (M.E/MTech with Specialization in Embedded Software Testing is plus).
  • Good understanding of hardware-Software integration.
  • Hands-on experience identifying Test Scenarios and Writing Test Cases by applying Test Case Design Techniques.
  • Experience in Analog /Digital Data acquisition system (Ex: Sensor, Signal Conditioning, comparators, Digital filter and Analog-to-Digital Converter).
  • Knowledge on communication protocol (Ex: CAN, UART, SPI, SAE, K-Line, LIN, GMLAN).
  • Experience in integration testing, functional testing, system testing, acceptance testing & regression testing.
  • Experience on Test case management tool and issue tracking tools.
  • Experience of Boolean Algebra, Logic Gates, Digital filters, comparators & Analog- to-Digital Converter (ADC).
  • Experience in HVDC Control & Protection testing is an added advantage.
  • Experience in Test Automation (robot framework & Python) is plus
  • Should have strong problem solving, debugging skills & trouble shooting faults in embedded systems.
