General Manager - Plant Admin

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :-

1. Plant Administration & Facility Management

• Manage day-to-day plant administrative functions including HR, Security, IR, Water, Planning, Production support, Vehicle Management, Vendor Management, Commercial and Local Purchase.
• Ensure upkeep and maintenance of plant buildings, utilities, roads, and common areas.
• Oversee vendor management, procurement of admin-related items, and budget control for plant services.

2.Civil & Infrastructure Works

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil construction, repairs, and maintenance of plant facilities.
• Liaise with contractors, architects, and consultants for plant-related construction and infrastructure upgrades.
• Ensure timely completion of civil works as per quality standards and budget.

3. Safety & Statutory Compliance

• Implement and monitor workplace safety policies in alignment with statutory requirements (Factories Act, OSHA, etc.).
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments in coordination with the EHS team.
• Organize training, mock drills, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.

4. Greenfield & Brownfield Project Management

• Oversee planning, execution, and completion of greenfield projects (new plant construction) including land acquisition support, approvals, and infrastructure setup.
• Manage brownfield expansion or modification projects, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
• Prepare project timelines, budgets, and progress reports for management review.
• Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, and government authorities for project clearances.

5. Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a liaison between the plant, corporate teams, contractors, and government bodies.
• Facilitate smooth communication among project teams, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality parameters.
• Manage documentation and reporting for all administrative, safety, and project-related activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate with 18-22 years of experience in plant administration and industrial project management.
• Strong exposure to safety regulations, compliance audits, and contractor management.
• Proven experience in managing greenfield and brownfield industrial projects.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure plant environment.
