Job Description

Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer Key Responsibilities Automation Framework Development Design and build modular, maintainable, and scalable test automation frameworks from scratch or enhance existing ones. Maintain and expand automated test coverage for frontend, backend, API, and integration testing. Develop automated test scripts using industry-standard tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. Testing Strategy & Execution Define and implement the overall test automation strategy in alignment with project requirements. Conduct end-to-end functional, regression, performance, and load testing. Participate in test planning, test case design, and test execution phases. CI/CD & DevOps Integration Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar. Collaborate with DevOps engineers to ensure automated tests run reliably in staging/production environments. Leadership & Mentoring Mentor junior QA and automation engineers, reviewing code and promoting best practices. Lead initiatives to improve testing processes, test tools, and automation strategies. Promote a culture of quality and automation across the organization. Reporting & Documentation Analyze test failures, identify bugs, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues. Create detailed test reports and dashboards for stakeholders. Maintain documentation for automation frameworks, tools, and processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 58+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in test automation. Strong programming/scripting skills in one or more languages: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#. Expertise in automation tools/frameworks such as: o Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc. Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC. Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket). Proficient in continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions). Preferred Qualifications Experience in performance/load testing using tools like JMeter, Locust, or Gatling. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and testing cloud-based applications. Familiarity with BDD/TDD frameworks such as Cucumber, Behave, or SpecFlow. Understanding of security and compliance testing frameworks. Exposure to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism (if applicable). ISTQB or other relevant QA/testing certifications.
