Travel Network Technician Remote: 10-20% travel 80-90% 10-12 month contract SECRET CLEARANCE and Security+ REQUIRED Job Description Seeking Traveling Network Technicians for a 10-12 month project. The project will be swapping out different networking equipment, including: Cisco Routers + Switches, firewalls, Wireless Access Points (WAPs), etc. Tops Skills: Decommissioning + configuring + troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls Racking + stacking servers good oral + written communications skills This project will be supporting the newly built DoDNET and helping get the agencies ready to migrate prepared for that migration by upgrading outdated equipment across the world. Travel will be mostly CONUS but there is a chance there will be some OCONUS travel.

This is a high visibility project and is imperative to the success of the program + mission. Additional Skills & Qualifications this is a role where they will be traveling 80-90% of the time, as there are ** sites that 10 teams will have to get to across the country and some sites that sit overseas. An active passport would be a very big nice to have. There also has to be some comfortability with being away from home during the work week for a good portion of the year.

Employee Value Proposition (EVP) This is an opportunity to do mission critical work getting the largest agency migrated onto the network to date. They will get an opportunity to travel the United States. Work Environment 80-90% travel. The 10-20% that is not can be worked from home.

Home base for the program and where the equipment is being shipped out of is Fort Meade Business Drivers/Customer Impact This is mission critical and time sensitive work. The government wants this done as quickly as possible to get the agency migrated onto DoDNET. General Qualifications 1. Do you currently hold an active Secret security clearance?

2. Do you have a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree? Travel Requirements 3. Are you willing and able to travel 90-100% of the time, including to CONUS and OCONUS locations?

Networking Fundamentals 4. IP addressing (e.g., subnetting, IPv4/IPv6 configuration)? o Routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)? o Configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 technologies (e.g., VLANs, spanning tree protocols, trunking)?

o Basic firewall configuration and network security? 5. Have you configured or managed: o Wireless networks and access points? o Switches and routers in an enterprise environment?

Technical Expertise 6. Have you conducted network surveys, including designing and installing structured cabling systems? 7. Do you have experience with network cabling, including: o Installing, labeling, and terminating Cat6 and Fiber cables?

o Certifying and troubleshooting cable infrastructure using tools like OTDR and cable testers? 8. Have you installed, configured, and tested network infrastructure equipment, such as: o Switches, routers, and firewalls? o Wireless access points and controllers?

Standards and Tools 9. Are you familiar with the following standards and tools: o ANSI/TIA-568 and 569 standards? o Protective Distribution Systems (PDS) and requirements for classified systems? o NIST and TEMPEST compliance standards?

o Creating topology diagrams and rack elevations using Visio? Additional Skills (Preferred) 10.Do you hold any of the following certifications: o BICSI certification? o Security+ certification? Work Flexibility 11.

Are you available to work flexible hours, including off-hours, as needed? Project Management 12.Have you previously: o Developed Bills of Material (BOM) for network designs? o Planned and performed lifecycle replacements and upgrades? o Managed and tracked project tasks to ensure on-time completion?

Advanced Troubleshooting 13. Have you worked on SIPR and NIPR networks, including diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues?
