Pay Rate: $31-36/hr
Shift/Hours:
Week 1: Sunday-Tuesday, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Week 2: Sunday-Wednesday, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Initial training: M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM for the first 2 weeks
Job Summary:
The Data Center Technician - Day Shift role supports a high-demand data center environment, applying advanced technical skills to execute preventative maintenance, inspections, vendor escorting, and system troubleshooting. The position focuses on mechanical, electrical, and facilities management with potential for full-time conversion.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily inspections of all M&E systems and technical equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs with oversight.
Follow all Environment, Health and Safety policies and wear required PPE.
Oversee third-party vendors and ensure full compliance with site protocols.
Escort vendors and uphold standards during site work and tours.
Help draft SOPs, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and risk assessments.
Maintain updated CERM documentation and logbooks.
Complete all required training to meet job responsibilities.
Perform work order and billing tasks using CMMS and Microsoft Excel.
Required Experience:
4-5 years of experience in data center mechanical/electrical operations.
Prior exposure to rounds/reads, vendor escorting, and facilities maintenance.
Knowledge of emergency response protocols.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Cross-functional HVAC and electrical exposure.
Experience training peers and sharing technical knowledge.
Required Skills:
Data center operations (mechanical/electrical)
Ability to read schematics and blueprints
Strong mechanical and electrical skills
Preferred Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite
Computer applications familiarity
Vendor and work order coordination
Additional Skills:
Clear verbal and written communication
Team collaboration and task delegation
Basic financial understanding (e.g., calculating percentages)
Reasoning and analytical problem-solving
Experience in a financial setting using billing systems
