DHHS Web Application Developer (.NET / Angular UI Rewrite) Job ID: 780297 Client: State of North Carolina - NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Location: Raleigh, NC (27601) Employment Type: 4-Month Contract Pay Rate: $45/Hour - $55/Hour (DOE) The Opportunity: Modernize a Critical Public Health Application We are seeking an experienced Full Stack .NET Developer to join the North Carolina DHHS on a high-impact project. This is a critical, short-term contract focused on rewriting the user interface of the vital NC ECHO application for the Department of Public Health. If you have proven expertise migrating older front-end technologies to a modern .NET framework and thrive in an Agile/Scrum environment, this is your chance to directly contribute to the state's public health infrastructure. What You'll Do (Primary Responsibilities) The core function of this role is to serve as the lead developer for the NC ECHO application UI rewrite. UI Migration: Rewrite the existing user interface (currently Angular JS and Breeze) using the .NET framework. Full-Stack Development: Utilize expertise in C#, Microsoft IIS, and SQL to deliver a performant and stable application. Requirements Translation: Effectively understand complex business requirements and accurately translate them into specific software requirements and technical designs. Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain excellent verbal and written communication to interact with non-technical clients and provide clear documentation. SDLC Compliance: Work within an Agile or Scrum SDLC methodology, utilizing tools like Jira for project tracking and GitHub or Bitbucket for version control. Reporting: Leverage experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Essential Qualifications (Must-Haves) Proven developer experience with C#, .NET, Microsoft IIS, and SQL. Specific experience developing in or migrating from Angular JS and Breeze. Experience using an Agile or Scrum SDLC in a developer role. Experience using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Familiarity with version control using GitHub or Bitbucket. Experience using project management tools such as Jira. Knowledge of general IT architectural principles and technical design best practices. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an IT related field from an accredited institution. Compensation & Logistics Job Duration: 4-Month Contract Work Arrangement: Onsite in Raleigh, NC.
