Accessories 

1. Role Purpose 

The Experienced Sales Person will be responsible for driving direct sales of 6-axis industrial 

robots and associated automation products from the standard catalogue range. The role 

focuses on generating new business, managing key accounts, presenting robotic solutions, and 

supporting clients with technical product selection. This position requires a strong blend of 

commercial acumen, technical understanding, and customer-facing expertise within industrial 

automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing. 

2. Key Responsibilities 

A. Sales & Business Development 

? Promote and sell 6-axis catalogue-based robots and associated equipment. 

? Develop and execute a territory sales plan aligned to company targets. 

? Identify, qualify, and secure new customers across manufacturing, automotive, FMCG, 

packaging, engineering, and industrial sectors. 

? Conduct on-site customer needs analysis to recommend appropriate robot models and 

configurations. 

? Drive end-to-end sales cycles from enquiry to closing orders. 

B. Customer Engagement & Account Management 

? Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure repeat business. 

? Manage key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term 

relationships. 

? Provide pre- and post-sale technical support (with engineering team). 

? Prepare and deliver professional client presentations, demonstrations, and ROI 

proposals. 

C. Technical Product Knowledge 

? Develop a strong understanding of 6-axis robot specifications, catalogue options, 

payloads, reach, cycle times, and controller features. 

? Work closely with internal technical teams for configuration and solution matching. 

? Stay up to date with new product releases, updates, and automation trends. 

D. Quoting, Pricing & Administration 

? Prepare quotations, tenders, and commercial proposals. 

? Manage CRM entries, customer pipelines, and forecasts accurately. 

? Negotiate pricing within approved guidelines. 

? Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with internal standards. 

E. Marketing & Sales Support 

? Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and client events. 

? Provide input to marketing on product positioning and market insights. 

? Support promotional campaigns and territory-focused initiatives. 

3. Required Qualifications & Experience 

Education 

? National Diploma or Degree in: 

o Mechanical Engineering 

o Mechatronics 

o Electrical Engineering 

OR equivalent technical qualification. 

? Additional sales, automation, or robotics training is advantageous. 

Experience 

? 5+ years experience selling technical/industrial equipment (preferably robots, 

automation systems, CNC, or electromechanical machinery). 

? Hands-on experience with robotics, automation, or system integration is a strong 

advantage. 

? Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. 

? Experience with catalogue-based product sales highly beneficial. 

4. Skills & Competencies

? Strong understanding of industrial automation principles. 

? Ability to size and recommend 6-axis robots and related accessories. 

? Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

? Strong negotiation and closing skills.

6. Working Conditions 

? O ice + field-based role (approx. 50%?70% travel). 

? Frequent customer site visits to factories, workshops, integrator facilities. 

? Occasional travel to exhibitions, training sessions, and suppliers.
