Developmental Disabilities Association is seeking Awake Night Staff (AWNS) for a position in one of our Vancouver based group homes to help support B.C.’s most vulnerable population. Job Title: AWAKE NIGHT STAFF | #2034 Service Area:  Living Options Location:  Vancouver / Richmond, BC Start Date: June 24, 2025 Term/Status: Permanent Full Time Schedule/Hours:  2 Week Shift Rotation Week 1 - Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat/Sun | Week 2 - Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat All Shifts 22:00-08:30 AM // 73.5 hours Bi-weekly Hourly Wage: $25.85 as per collective agreement The Role: The Awake Night Staff (AWNS) provides a safe, comfortable, and home-like environment for each resident with the opportunity for each resident to develop life skills to the limits of their desire and potential. The AWNS also ensures good communication between team members, family, and professionals with regard to the life of the individual.

Ability to implement complex behaviour programs.

Skilled in proactive training programs and crisis intervention. Must be able to perform lifts and transfers of 40lbs. Experience in Geriatric care preferred. Formal training in the area of counselling and positive behavior support preferred.
