Overview Job Skills / Requirements Sign-On Bonus Paladin is currently offering a $1,000.00 sign-on bonus to licensed Alberta Security Guards who get hired as a full-time guard. Job Description As a key member of a nation leading Security Company, the Security Officer will: -Apply their decision-making and strong communication skills to all duties and responsibilities relating to Security and Safety -Ensure that the Safety and Emergency Procedures are followed -Follow Post Orders for each site posted -Undertake site specific training; follow direction and guidance from Client Service Manager or Supervisor -Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at site access point, and vehicles -Patrol assigned areas on foot or in motor vehicle to ensure personnel, building, and equipment security -Monitor the environment for safety infractions or hazards -Watch for and report irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations -Offer support to any person in need of assistance -Contact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required -Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of data and information -Respond to inquiries and request for information in an appropriate manner -Utilize two-way radio and computer applications -Act with professionalism and integrity -Demonstrates an active interest in promoting safety in the work place -Motivates, supports, and inspires co-workers Paladin provides to you: -Competitive wages -Uniforms (we provide a monthly dry-cleaning allowance) -Health and Dental benefits (meet the requirements of the plan) -Unlimited opportunities to grow within a National Company Job Requirements: -Availability for variety of shifts including overnight shifts and weekends -Ability to obtain Alberta Security License -Valid class 5 license and own vehicle -Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal -Strong interpersonal and customer service skills while remaining professional with a tactful and friendly demeanor -Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain site logs -Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency situations with minimal supervision -Discretion when handling confidential and private information -Ability to perform under pressure and in adversity -Ability to walk 18-20 km and climb stairs -Authorized to legally work in Canada Additional Information / Benefits Paladin Security: Making the World a Safer and Friendlier Place because we CARE ! Work directly with a senior cybersecurity specialist to support day-to-day security operations and projects
Create and update critical documentation like policies, procedures, and incident playbooks
