Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Analyst, Corporate Development to join a high-performing strategic team at a major Canadian organization. This role supports key investment, growth, and business transformation decisions across a global operation. As the company expands and elevates its internal capabilities, this position plays a critical role in shaping the business case for major capital and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Development, the Senior Analyst will bring a blend of strong financial analysis and commercial judgment to help drive corporate growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build and assess financial models to evaluate major investments, partnerships, and strategic initiatives
  • Prepare business cases, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and strategy teams to gather insights and develop analyses
  • Conduct industry, market, and competitor research to support corporate decision-making
  • Present complex information in clear, concise formats to support executive-level discussions
  • Contribute to project management for key corporate development initiatives
  • Help mentor and raise the standard of analytical thinking across the team
  • Support preparation of materials for executive committees and board-level reviews
  • Identify risks, sensitivities, and opportunities in investment proposals
  • Participate in the development and improvement of internal valuation and analysis frameworks
  • Support M&A activities, including due diligence and integration planning

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or a similar strategic role
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a business-first mindset
  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to “think beyond the spreadsheet”
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
  • Experience developing or presenting strategic business cases to executive audiences
  • High level of integrity, curiosity, and critical thinking
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA considered assets but not required

Remuneration

  • Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000
  • Target bonus: 15%
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Hybrid work model: 3-4 days in-office, flexible on Mondays and Fridays
