A leading specialist agricultural financial institution is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Provincial Head ? Commercial Banking & Transformation to lead and manage its Western Cape provincial operations.   This senior leadership role is responsible for driving provincial business growth, profitability, transformation objectives, stakeholder engagement, and overall operational excellence across commercial and development banking portfolios.   The successful candidate will combine strong credit and lending expertise with proven leadership capability and a track record of managing high-performing banking teams. Key Responsibilities: Strategic & Provincial Leadership Develop and execute the Provincial Business Plan aligned to organisational strategy.

Lead the province to achieve approved growth, profitability, and development targets. Drive transformation objectives within the agricultural and commercial banking environment. Provide short- and long-term strategic direction for the province. Loan Book Growth & Financial Performance Drive sustainable growth of the provincial loan book.

Monitor loan composition (short-, medium- and long-term lending). Manage cost-to-income ratios and overall portfolio health. Oversee provincial budgeting and expenditure control. Credit & Lending Oversight Provide leadership on complex lending, credit assessment, due diligence and financial modelling.

Ensure sound risk management, governance and compliance standards. Resolve audit findings and maintain a robust provincial risk register. Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including provincial government, agricultural industry role players and community leaders. Enhance provincial visibility through marketing and brand-building initiatives.

Ensure end-to-end client relationship and client experience management. Foster collaboration across internal divisions. Operational & Governance Management Oversee day-to-day provincial operations including sales, lending, service, administration, and support functions. Evaluate and improve systems, processes and operational efficiencies.

Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, policies and regulatory requirements. People Leadership & Performance Management Lead, develop and manage provincial teams. Oversee recruitment, performance management, training and employee engagement. Create a high-performance culture focused on accountability, service excellence and results.

  Minimum Requirements: Bachelor?s Degree in Commerce, Business Sciences or equivalent qualification in Banking/Financial Services. 5?8 years? experience in Commercial Banking or Development Finance. 5?8 years? experience in Credit/Lending, Loan Assessment, Due Diligence and Financial Analysis. 2?3 years? management experience (Branch Manager, Sales Manager or similar).

Strong financial, credit and business acumen. Experience in stakeholder engagement and sales leadership. Willingness to travel extensively and work extended hours when required.   This is a high-impact leadership opportunity suited to an experienced Provincial Head ? Commercial Banking & Transformation who can drive strategic growth, lead diverse teams, manage complex credit portfolios, and strengthen stakeholder partnerships within the Western Cape region.

Work directly with a senior cybersecurity specialist to support day-to-day security operations and projects
