This role carries full responsibility for departmental performance, operational safety, budget oversight, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic resource deployment. The successful candidate will ensure smooth, profitable project execution while identifying and developing growth opportunities that align with the organisation?s long-term vision. Minimum Qualifications National Senior Certificate (Matric) and an accredited tertiary qualification Extensive mechanical and technical sales expertise Must have managed a minimum of 30 people Experience working within the engineering, project, or contracting industries Sound financial oversight and staff leadership experience Proficient communicator with the ability to engage across various organisational levels Exceptional written and verbal command of English Driven by results and continuous improvement Commitment to customer service excellence Collaborative team builder with advanced interpersonal skills Competence in identifying and developing new business prospects Clear criminal record Valid driver's license Excellent references South African citizen Key Responsibilities Adhere to organisational policies and uphold the highest standards of workplace safety and quality Lead, inspire, and mentor a results-driven team Monitor departmental spending and maintain cost controls Oversee departmental income, project billing, and client financials Direct all project delivery and operational processes Grow the department through business development and marketing Safeguard the integrity and readiness of all mechanical assets and tools Embed a culture of safety excellence Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Build and sustain a highly skilled and engaged team dedicated to outstanding service delivery Maintain an asset utilisation rate of 85% or higher each month Achieve a minimum 95% client satisfaction rate through consistent quality service Deliver monthly departmental profit margins of 35% or more, with costs maintained at least 5% below budget Enhance transparency, collaboration, and opportunity recognition within the department Ensure full compliance with all safety and environmental standards and achieve loss-time-injury-free operations   ..

Work directly with a senior cybersecurity specialist to support day-to-day security operations and projects
Create and update critical documentation like policies, procedures, and incident playbooks
Help roll out monthly security awareness training and phishing simulations across the organization
