Cypress Employment has openings for 1st Class Pipe Welders at our client's Pascagoula, MS facility. Must haves: Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Be able to read/write/communicate in English Basic Qualifications : · Minimum 3 Yrs. of pipe welding experience · Must have experience in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), also known as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) also known as "stick welding? · Ability to pass military standard X-Ray welding test on stainless steel and copper nickel in the 6G position (restricted) · Ability to pass a military specification welding assessment in the vertical (3G), horizontal (2G) and overhead (4G) positions · Pipe welding test is given in a restricted position (6 G) on a 5'' schedule 80 carbon steel pipe · GTAW (TIG) process used for root pass, 11018 electrode used for weld fill portion and cap Job Description: A Pipe Welder is responsible for performing pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), also known as tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding. The shipyard environment is an around the clock manufacturing setting.

Shipyard production areas at times involve working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day. As with most every position in the shipyard, a Welder may be required to work either day or night dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time. The shipyard stresses the practice of working safely in all situations with safety procedures meeting, and most times, exceeding industry standards. Types of metal materials with a variety of welding processes; the most basic of which are, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) also known as "stick welding? and Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW) also known as ?wire welding.? Must pass military standard X-Ray welding test on stainless steel and copper nickel in the 6G position (restricted).

The pipe welding test is given in a restricted position (6 G) on a 5'' schedule 80 carbon steel pipe GTAW (TIG) process used for root pass, 11018 electrodes used for weld fill portion and cap. Location: Pascagoula, MS Duration: Initially 1 year Base Pay Range: $48 per hour Day Shift- $49 per hour Night Shift Per Diem $180 is available for candidates 75 miles away (verification required via current utility bill) Start Date As soon as possible NOTE: Please be advised that any candidates who proceed will be required to travel to Pascagoula, MS to do a skills test and/or interview, Hair Follicle Test, and Respirator Fit Test. You will also be required to pass a background check with no violent felonies. ..

Essential Functions

1. Process and verify incoming payments, ensuring accuracy in transactions and resolving any discrepancies.
2. Prepare and send invoices to clients, following up on outstanding payments as necessary.
3. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all accounts receivable transactions.
4. Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to resolve billing issues and improve customer satisfaction.

Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


Required Education and Experience
  • Recent A/R experience (within the past 3 years) which includes posting payments to the G/L
  • Experience processing virtual/verbal credit card payments through a third-party website which includes posting them to the G/L
  • Experience Imaging customer checks to the Bank imaging system
  • Experience with weekly/monthly/bi-monthly billing
  • Experience Managing a digital filing system using Adobe pdf. files and Microsoft print to pdf.
  • Experience Calling on customer accounts for 90-day collections
  • Experience with Excel?Expert
  • Experience with 10-key calculator
  • Great phone etiquette
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to meet crucial deadlines on a daily basis

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
? Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
