Cypress Employment has client hiring CNC Machinists in Mobile, AL. This position is 90 days temp to perm. Our clients' Machining Department is among the region's largest in terms of capacity and capabilities. With cutting-edge new machines arriving NOW, a state-of-the-art climate-controlled workshop, and a steady backlog of exciting projects.

What You'll Do As a CNC Machinist, you'll be the craftsperson behind precision manufacturing, transforming raw materials into functional masterpieces using state-of-the-art machinery, detailed blueprints, and advanced CNC programs. ? Your Key Responsibilities Master the Process: Receive work instructions from our Machining Director and develop strategic operational plans Setup Excellence: Configure machinery and materials for peak efficiency and safety Precision Execution: Execute complex machining operations to achieve exact dimensional and finish requirements Quality Champion: Continuously monitor and ensure your work exceeds quality standards Equipment Care: Perform daily inspections and maintenance to keep our machines running perfectly Safety Leader: Maintain exceptional safety standards and workspace organization Team Player: Collaborate on additional projects and maintain perfect attendance ? What We're Looking For Education & Training High school diploma or GED preferred Vocational training or hands-on experience with machining tools and techniques preferred Growth Mindset: Ability to excel in comprehensive training programs Experience That Counts Minimum 2 years of verified CNC Machinist experience - Show us what you've accomplished! ?? Technical Expertise We Value Blueprint Mastery: Exceptional blueprint reading skills, especially machining symbols Manufacturing Knowledge: Deep understanding of subtractive manufacturing processes CNC Proficiency: Expert operation of Horizontal and Vertical CNC Mills and Lathes Programming Skills: G-code experience; GibbsCAM proficiency is a huge advantage! Setup Expertise: Advanced knowledge of fixtures, cutting tools, and accessories Fabrication Plus: Metal fabrication familiarity; welding skills are a major bonus!

Essential Functions

1. Process and verify incoming payments, ensuring accuracy in transactions and resolving any discrepancies.
2. Prepare and send invoices to clients, following up on outstanding payments as necessary.
3. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all accounts receivable transactions.
4. Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to resolve billing issues and improve customer satisfaction.
5. Ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
6. Generate reports detailing accounts receivable status for review by the finance manager.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to accounts receivable to improve efficiency and reduce outstanding receivables.
8. Support the finance department with other tasks and projects as needed.
9. Handle and count cash drawer daily.

Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


Required Education and Experience
  • Recent A/R experience (within the past 3 years) which includes posting payments to the G/L
  • Experience processing virtual/verbal credit card payments through a third-party website which includes posting them to the G/L
  • Experience Imaging customer checks to the Bank imaging system
  • Experience with weekly/monthly/bi-monthly billing
  • Experience Managing a digital filing system using Adobe pdf. files and Microsoft print to pdf.
  • Experience Calling on customer accounts for 90-day collections
  • Experience with Excel?Expert
  • Experience with 10-key calculator
  • Great phone etiquette
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to meet crucial deadlines on a daily basis

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
? Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
? Must have a valid driver's license.
