Job Interview Tips

Interview preparation is a tough part of getting a job and needs to taken in a discipline manner. The more discipline you are the more closer you are to your job. Always keep your self very cool and try to learn and upgrade yourself on daily basis. This is my personal experience that I learnt many concepts and technologies when I was in bench or doing job hunt rather than in Job . So try to enjoy that period and get more benefits and stay calm and take all decisions very sensibly
Now we are well encouraged and let's start our preparation for interview.

Practice your answers :
Try to practice your replies to all common questions. Some people use to practice in front of mirror also. Prepare a list of all common questions and your answers to them. Try to relate your project description and previous experience with your answers.
It's also helpful if you describe the problems or challenges you faced and how you solved them.

Your attire :
Well some companies are very strict in dress code. So it's always better to have neat attire, a nice suit/dress (preferably use combination of white and black). Make sure your cell is switched off or in silent mode. Try not to receive any calls in interview. Keep extra copy of your resume. It's better if you carry notepad or pen for taking notes.
Be on time for the interview. On time means at least five to ten minutes early.

Your answers :
If the question requires only single line/word answer, then keep your replies in that range only. Avoid describing any related details. Some of these questions starts with "When" "Who" etc, However if the question needs some description then try to give a good description and whenever you get a chance tell him about your achievements in project. How you handle many challenges in that role or while executing that project.
One main tip: Avoid using any technology or any word which you don't know while describing your answer. Interviewer generally picks questions from your reply. Try to shift attention of interviewer to your area of knowledge.

During the job interview try to relax and stay as calm possible. Try to maintain eye contact with the interviewer. Don't be panic in any circumstance. Also if you don't know answer, then tell him nicely that you don't know the answers or in better words you haven't got a chance to work on this and will like to work on this. Avoid any faulty statement even though you are saying with confidence. One such statement is well enough for you to miss the opportunity.
Always follow-up with a Thank you note reiterating your interest in the position. If you interview with multiple people send each one a thank you note.

Try to use mirror while answering or tell your friend to conduct mock interviews. Practice to reduce your "ums" ,"uhs" ,"like" and "okays".
